Hollywood Hills goes Back to School!

New backpacks, books, pencils and crayons – your child may be ready for the new school year, but are you? Its not the supplies you get which will lead to your child's success in the classroom, but rather the time you give to personal involvement in their education.

How will you get involved in your child's education this year? For many parents, finding the time to volunteer doesn't necessarily get easier just because the calendar says the first day of school is approaching. That's why HHE PTA offers plenty of easy programs, flexible scheduling and innovative resources to help you plan your time and make your volunteering count.

Lets work to make this school year a successful one for all children the only way we know how: together. Get connected to OUR school, OUR teachers, OUR principal, and YOUR PTA!

Volunteer Service Requirements

All general school Volunteers must complete an application for the 2008-2009 school year. Even previously approved volunteers must fill out a new application EVERY year. This is REQUIRED by Broward Schools. HHE PTA cannot allow you to volunteer on campus without first receiving verification you have completed the application process. This includes both returning and new volunteers. CLICK HERE for the 2008-09 volunteer application.

Please allow 7 - 10 school days for your volunteer application to be approved by Broward County Schools, after that time you may come into the school office with your picture ID and take your picture for your badge.

Volunteers working one-on-one or in small group mentoring activities must receive special training and background clearance before service begins. For information about becoming a Youth Mentor, please contact Youth Mentoring Programs at (754) 321-1972.
